Alloy 20 Buttweld Fittings are fabricated using an alloy that is based on nickel-chromium-molybdenum, which provides excellent corrosion resistance, especially in acidic conditions. The composition of alloy 20 includes about 20% chromium, 29-34% nickel, and 3-4.5% molybdenum, as well as some copper, iron, and manganese. This allows it to resist sulfuric and phosphoric acids as well as other corrosives. The mechanical properties of Alloy 20 Buttweld Fittings include: tensile strength 45-70 ksi; yield strength 25 ksi; and elongation 30%. These fittings are very durable, but they all provide excellent corrosion resistance, especially in industries that require high resistance to both stress and corrosion.
