Alloy 20 Forged Fittings are made from a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with molybdenum and copper, which gives them better corrosion resistance than other materials, particularly in acidic environments. It has a standard composition of Nickel (32-38%), Chromium (19-21%), Molybdenum (2-3%), Copper (3-4%), with Iron as the balance and trace amounts of Carbon, Manganese and Silicon. They also have good strength and ductility with a minimum tensile strength of 550 MPa, minimum yield strength of 240 MPa, minimum elongation of 30%. The aforementioned properties of this alloy give it the ability to survive and perform in the most aggressive industrial settings.
