Alloy 20 pipe fittings are made from a corrosion-resistant alloy primarily consisting of 32-38% nickel, 19-21% chromium, 3-4% molybdenum, and small amounts of iron, copper, and other elements. This composition provides excellent resistance to sulfuric acid, pitting, and crevice corrosion. The mechanical properties of Alloy 20 include a tensile strength of 75-85 ksi, yield strength of 30-40 ksi, and elongation of 30% in 2 inches. These fittings also exhibit good fatigue and thermal-fatigue strength, making them ideal for applications in harsh, corrosive environments.
