Alloy Steel WP5 pipe fittings are composed of chromium molybdenum (Cr-Mo) alloys with about 0.05-0.15% carbon, chromium 2.25-2.75%, molybdenum 0.9-1.2%, and small amounts of other elements to make it a tougher alloy. The fittings have excellent strength, hardness, and ability to perform in high-temperature environments. The tensile stress in these fittings is between: 415-585 MPa; yield strength: 205-290 MPa yield strength; elongation between: 20-30%. WP5 fittings have great weldability, and resistance to oxidation and corrosion, but they’re still used in high-pressure and high-temperatures applications. These fittings are used in high-pressure, high-temperature petrochemical and power generation applications.
