Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with about 58% nickel and 21–25% chromium, along with traces of iron and aluminum. The above composition ensures strong resistance against oxidation, carburization, and corrosion at elevated temperatures. The pipe fittings ensure mechanical properties such as tensile strength of about 585 MPa and good creep rupture at higher temperatures up to 1150°C. Inconel 601 also ensures high weldability and thermal stability and can be used in high-temperature critical applications.
