The above composition imparts Monel 400 excellent corrosion resistance, especially in chemical and marine environments. These pipe fittings possess tensile strength of nearly 550–620 MPa and yield strength of nearly 170–345 MPa, with good ductility and toughness even at sub-zero temperatures. Monel 400 also has excellent weldability and mechanical properties under reducing and oxidizing conditions, which makes it compatible with severe service conditions.
