Monel K500 Fittings consist mainly of 63% nickel and 29–33% copper, with minor additions of aluminium (2.3–3.15%) and titanium (0.35–0.85%) which facilitate age hardening. This alloy possesses much greater mechanical strength and hardness compared to Monel 400 but maintains good corrosion resistance. Monel K500 has a tensile strength of 965 MPa and yield strength of 690 MPa with satisfactory elongation and impact properties, even in sub-zero temperatures. These characteristics render it appropriate for high-stress applications where strength and resistance against aggressive media are necessary.
