Grade 310 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel with about 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel content, which has excellent oxidation resistance to 1150°C in continuous exposure. It also offers a tensile strength of nearly 520 MPa and a yield strength of around 205 MPa, and good creep resistance and mechanical stability in high temperatures. The high nickel and chromium content of the alloy also provide high sulfidation and carburization resistance in hostile, high-temperature conditions.
