Grade 310S stainless steel is an austenitic grade containing nearly 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel and with up to 0.08% carbon. The composition provides great resistance to carburization, sulfidation, and oxidation up to 1100°C. The material provides tensile strength of nearly 520 MPa and yield strength close to 205 MPa along with satisfactory creep resistance and mechanical stability when subjected to thermal cycling.
