316Ti stainless steel is an austenitic alloy with about 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and very small amounts of titanium (about 0.5%), which stabilizes the alloy with respect to sensitization. It provides a tensile strength of around 550 MPa and a yield strength around 240 MPa, together with superior toughness, ductility, and resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in chloride-rich environments.
