321 and 321H are austenitic stainless steels that contain around 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and also include titanium for stabilizing the alloy. 321H grade has more carbon than 321, generally in the range of 0.04% to 0.10%, providing enhanced high-temperature strength. The alloys have tensile strengths of about 515 MPa and good ductility and toughness, withstanding thermal cycling and oxidizing atmospheres. Their low content of carbon and austenitic microstructure enhance their resistance to carbide precipitation.
