Grade 347 stainless steel is an austenitic alloy with about 17–20% chromium and 9–13% nickel content, stabilized with niobium to inhibit carbide precipitation. It has a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa, and high ductility, oxidation resistance, and creep strength. It is particularly ideal for application in high-temperature service conditions up to 870°C (1600°F).
