Super Duplex Steel UNS S32750 consists of about 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum, and nitrogen and manganese for improved strength and resistance to corrosion. Its mechanical characteristics are a high tensile strength of about 795 MPa, yield strength of 550 MPa, and great impact toughness at cryogenic temperatures. The two-phase austenitic-ferritic structure of the alloy results in superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion and is hence ideal for aggressive environments in many industrial applications.
