UNS S32760 is a super duplex stainless steel alloy containing about 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum, with a few elements of tungsten, nitrogen, and manganese added. Its two-phase microstructure of ferrite and austenite offers excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, crevice corrosion, and erosion. The alloy offers a superior tensile strength of approximately 800 MPa and yield strength of about 550 MPa, with superior toughness even at sub-zero temperatures. Its superior weldability, thermal stability, and resistance to fatigue make it ideal for intricate piping systems with alternating stress and aggressive chemicals.
