UNS S32760 Super Duplex Steel has roughly 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum, and considerable levels of tungsten, nitrogen and manganese. This chemical composition helps provide corrosion resistance and mechanical performance. It has a high tensile strength of approximately 800 MPa, yield strength of about 550 MPa, and it exhibits good impact toughness at negative temperatures. Its ferritic-austenitic microstructure gives excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, particularly in chloride contaminated and seawater conditions. Thus, this material is ideally suited for service conditions that are corrosive and under high pressure.
